海外「日本のコーラは一瞬でリボンになる」

Coca-Cola Japan started a nationwide “Coca-Cola” winter campaign 2016 for the Christmas season on Nov. 7. The campaign focuses on the ribbon bottle, a limited-time package that started in Colombia in 2013.

The first ribbon bottle to land in Japan will quickly change the label of Coca-Cola’s plastic bottle into a gorgeous ribbon shape. It contains the desire to give gifts to family members, friends and lovers to deepen their ties with important people.

Originally, the campaign was launched as part of Coca-Cola’s global campaign “Taste the Feeling” since January. A company representative said, “With the refreshing and uplifting taste of Coca-Cola products and the unique experience of ribbon bottles, we want to provide more special moments during the Christmas season than ever before.”

The first landing of ribbon bottles in Japan has become a hot topic, with about 200 media exposure and more than 4,000 Twitter posts in the first week of the campaign.

Taking advantage of the timing of the growing topic, the company started its first over-the-counter promotion on November 21. At supermarkets, drugstores and mass retailers across the country, four bottles of 410ml-600ml PET or two bottles of 950ml-2.0L PET were given “fluffy” on the spot.

In the second edition, which is scheduled to be held from December 5, a “crystal ornament” (one from all five types) will be given to those who purchase one 1.0ℓ-2.0ℓ PET of Coca-Cola’s carbonated products on the spot.

In addition, a collaboration project with ABC Cooking Studio, a cooking class, has been underway since December 1. Recipe cards that can easily make Christmas menus according to the sampling of ribbon bottles are distributed in Christmas lessons and in each studio.
