タイは雨季になると各地で洪水が発生する
蛇や有毒動物が洪水により流されるなどして彼らが生息する森林から住宅地にやってくる
壁にできた隙間や亀裂から自宅に侵入しベッドの下に潜んだり、トイレや靴の中に身をひそめる場合もある
タイの人にとっては蛇は慣れてるとはいえ中には大きかったり毒をもってる蛇の場合は容易には近づけない
家の中で蛇や有毒動物が見つかった場合は当然専門の人たちに駆除を頼むことになる
199に電話をするか、地元の救助隊というのがあって、その番号は1669で主にボランティアで構成されている
ちなみに2023年にタイで蛇に噛まれた人の数は7000人を超え農作業をしてるせいか男性のほうが女性の2倍被害に遭っている
こちらの男性はベッドで眠ってる最中に蛇が侵入しあろうことかパンツの中に潜り込んでしまった
