アメリカ北西部に位置するオレゴン州はアメリカの原風景が残っている

州立公園には至る所にキャンプ場があり、天気の良い日が多い夏場はアウトドアを楽しむ人がたくさん来る
青い空に広大な大地に広がる樹木、日本人が観光で行くツアーでも人気の場所だ
そんな自然を楽しもうと小高い山の上にテントを張ったのですが強風に煽られせっかく設置したテントが空を舞い谷のほうへ飛んで行ってしまいました
風船のように一定の場所でフワフワ漂っており、持ち主さんが大きな声で「戻れ！」と叫んでおります
形がそのまんまなので、おそらく大した組み立てもいらないワンタッチテントなのでしょう
これは設置が簡単で良いのですが、風対策となると少々弱い
それ用の重りが販売されれるのですが使用しないで強風が突然来ると飛んで行ってしまう
大事なテントを飛ばされて大変そうですが見てて笑っちゃいました

自然は素晴らしいけど、やはり手ごわい
強風が吹いてきたら正しい判断をして、勇気ある撤退をするのも大事だとベテランキャンパーが言っていましたが、その通りですね

Even if it’s a little windy, I want to go camping if it’s sunny, but the wind is more troublesome than the rain. This time, I will introduce wind countermeasures on the camping site.

● tighten all the ropes and fasten the velcro at the back
On a mild and sunny day, if the rope is loosened, there will be no big problem, but on a windy day, let’s tighten the rope tightly and fix it. On the back of the flysheet are Velcro and hooks that can be secured to the frame. It’s a bit troublesome because you dive into the back of the flysheet when you set it up, but if you neglect it, you won’t be able to show the original wind resistance of the tent. Please set up the details carefully.
Also, it is troublesome if the inner tent is fanned by the wind before fixing it with pegs. It doesn’t have to be fixed, so if you temporarily fasten two or three places to the ground with a peg, you can set it up without panic.
Keep the storage bag and the liner seat to be attached afterwards in the car so that they won’t be blown away during the installation.
Also, when the flysheet flutters due to the wind, it is noisy and I can’t sleep. It’s safer to check the tension rope of the tent again before going to bed.
