The vocal skills of parrots are the ability to create sounds that we humans can talk about.Parrots have articulation tongues.The tongue can be moved in the mouth and can produce sounds like human voices by changing the frequency.

But the difference is not just the tongue.Most parrots have special brains.

While most birds have the ability to make sounds to sing and sing, parrots also have what scientists call “the ability to create new vocalizations.”Not only that, but their nervous systems also allow for outstanding vocal mimicry.

Only three species of birds have vocal learning abilities: hummingbirds, songbirds and parrots.

Scientists are not sure how birds use vocal learning.However, free style may be useful for different groups of birds to distinguish between each other, identify enemies, and form strong social connections.

Despite the completely different birds, hummingbirds, songbirds and parrots have seven nerve masses in common in their brains.It’s called songnuclei.

Songnuclei is surrounded by or right next to the part of the brain that regulates movement.The learning-related part is in the anterior part of the brain, and the sound-forming part is behind the brain.

However, the presence of songnuclei alone does not explain why parrots have excellent vocal mimicry.

Recent studies of vocal mimicry have used ordinary parakeets and parakeets as models.But in a 2015 study, researchers studied the brains of many different parrots and found that all parrots had “something” that hummingbirds and songbirds didn’t have.It was an additional layer, or nuclear cell, surrounding songnuclei.

For now, this difference may not be the cause of vocal cord reproduction, as it is only correlated.

Needless to say, scientists do not know how the songnuclei works at this point.Even though the seven nuclei work together, they make different connections.

Based on the similarities and types of genes found in each brain region, scientists believe the two-layered voice system was created more than 29 million years ago due to songnuclei’s duplication.
