So when the plane starts to move like this, there will be a bound vortex and a departure vortex on the wings!
As the speed increases, the speed of this vortex increases.
Some of you may have noticed that it is here. Watch out for the bound vortex! The upper side of the wing is facing in the same direction, but isn’t the direction of the vortex going around the lower side of the wing the opposite direction of the airflow?
That’s right! That’s where the important point comes from.
Due to the influence of this constraint vortex, the airflow speed on the upper side is increasing. That’s right because it goes in the same direction as the air current received from the direction of travel.
However, on the other hand, the velocity of the lower airflow is slower than that of the upper airflow due to the influence of the vortex.
For this reason, there is a difference in the speed of the upper and lower air currents, and the upper atmospheric pressure is low and the lower atmospheric pressure is high.
To put it a little more simply, the air pressure is low because the upper speed is fast, but the lower speed is slow, so the air pressure is high compared to the upper speed.
This difference gets bigger as the airplane speeds up.
Then the time will finally come. That’s right! The plane is going up! The time will come when the lift will win over gravity.
The air goes from a place with high pressure to a place with low pressure, so the airframe is lifted. In other words, it goes from the one with more air to the one with less air.
Let’s wrap it up to here. Why can an airplane fly?
This means that the airflow of the wings at a tremendous speed creates a difference between the upper and lower parts of the wings due to atmospheric pressure, and the air can lift the fuselage.
It means that the lift can overcome the gravity of the heavy aircraft, and the plane can fly into the sky. This lift acts perpendicular to the airflow.
