how big is this house?
byu/hashtag-leavemealone inconfusing_perspective

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s Guide to Long-lasting Housing, the average length of use in the U.S. is 55 years (about 30 years in Japan and 77 years in the U.K.) In fact, the data varies from 40 to 100 years depending on the state. In any case, it is said that the period of use is considerably longer than that of Japanese houses.

Buying a house = The U.S. does not have the idea of the last place to live, and many people actively move to live in accordance with the life stage. As used goods are widely distributed, we will inevitably focus on repairs and maintenance to make the sale of houses profitable. Another reason for the long life of a house is that it was originally designed to facilitate such repairs.
