Happy birthday to the one and only Ichiro!

Ichiro, who recorded 3,089 hits in the major leagues, celebrated his 51st birthday on the 22nd. The U.S. media also sent a congratulatory message, but in past superplay videos accompanying the post, Japanese fans sent messages expressing their excitement, such as, “No matter how many times you look at it, it’s ridiculous play,” and “History started here.”
[Video] Legendary scene posted on Ichiro’s 51st birthday, “No matter how many times you watch it, it’s ridiculous.”
It was a big play that made fans enthusiastic at that time and now. The game against the Athletics took place on April 11, 2001, during the Mariners’ time. In his first year in the major leagues, Ichiro, when he charged the ball hard in front of the right field in the eighth inning with one out and first base, made a smooth move to third base like an arrow. The ball fell into the third baseman’s glove without a bound and successfully stabbed the runner on first base who was aiming for third base.
The sharp and accurate return ball, like pulling the strings, was called the “laser beam” and greatly improved Ichiro’s reputation in the U.S. and later became a synonym for him. When the official X of MLB Network posted a video from 23 years ago saying, “Happy 51st birthday to Ichiro Suzuki!” many Japanese fans responded.
“Everyone who played baseball longed for Ichiro.”
“Is Ichiro 51 years old? I can’t see it.”
“””Legendary “”Laser Beef”” was something I longed for at that time.”””
“Wow! Ichiro is a legend in America, too!”
“No matter how many times I look at him, he’s a terrible player.”
“I just saw the laser beam”
“The moment the laser beam was born”
“Is it Ichiro’s 51st birthday?”
“Everything is perfect in Area 51. Personally, I think that’s where the history of MLB Japanese fielder started.”
In the comment section, there were many people who missed the performance of the time along with birthday wishes.
