肉食ではないけど普段は固い竹などをバキバキ食べるわけだから噛む力は相当強いはずだ

Although it is a popular panda in zoos, giant pandas are classified as “meat-order bears.” They are giant pandas that usually show their lovely appearance like stuffed animals, but sometimes they show their tusks like bears to humans. Recently, a giant panda attacked a zookeeper in China and bit him in front of visitors. Singaporean news media MustShareNews reported.

A giant panda covered over a breeder. Here’s the video from that time

The Chongqing Zoo in Chongqing, China, has more than 230 species and more than 4,000 animals in the zoo. It is also popular with foreign tourists because it is one of the few zoos that can breed giant pandas independently.

The breeder must be used to handling pandas, but on the 19th local time, a female breeder was attacked by a female giant panda called “Ding-Ding.” At that time, visitors were filming the scene, and Ding-ding was seen changing like a wild bear.

The video has been spread through the Chinese version of TikTok’s “抖 Sound,” but Ding Ding tried to enter by opening the staff-only door in the enclosure. At this time, the keeper hurriedly closed the door, but the reaction opened the door and pushed Ding-Ding, who was about to enter, and forced him to close the door. When the breeder closed the door, Dindin’s right paw appeared to be caught in the door.

Then Ding-Ding rushed at the keeper and covered him, biting him in the arm and shaking his head violently. The keeper was screaming with a look of pain, and the visitors screamed loudly. The keeper, who managed to escape Ding’ing’s attack by kicking him with his foot, immediately ran out of the enclosure and ran away.

A spokesperson for the zoo said they had checked both the breeder and the conditions of the dinghins and were paying close attention to what had happened since. The breeder was treated at the hospital, but fortunately, there were no serious injuries, and Ding Ding was eating as usual and looked the same as usual.

Experts say pandas sometimes attack with sharp claws to protect themselves and their children when they feel threatened. The zoo said it would take additional safety measures to prevent another similar accident, but on April 23 this year, when twin pandas were playing, one of them almost bit the breeder. At this time, a meeting on safety measures was also being held.
